140 ENTRIES IN SJC INTERNATIONAL DERBY

The second leg of the "2009 SJC International 8-Cock Derby" will be held on June 1, 3, 6 & 8 at the San Juan Coliseum with soem 140 entries expected.

Cockfight champions have already signed up for the super cockfest that offers P6 million to the winners.

A specially-crafted trophy will be awarded to the champion.

The first leg of the 2009 international derby last January lured a rec0rd-shattering 191 entries with Amboy Manlapaz of Bulacan emerging as solo champion.

Runner-up finishers were Jorge Torres of California and Mayor Salvador Perez with Otto Balboa of Pangasinan.

Others with good scores are Nelson Uy, Jun Topacio, Mayor Cito Alberto, Mayor Nene Aguilar, Mauro Prieto, Engr. Allan Mirasol, LB Candelaria, Jojo Pilongo, Lito Cay, Oca Domingo and Dori Du of Davao among others.

Currently, he writes sabong colums for Bandera (tabloid of the Philippine Daily Inquirer) every Friday and Pilipino Mirror (tabloid of Business Mirror) every Sunday, Tuseday & Thursday. In December 2011 Lando Luzong conceptualized and founded the GAMEFOWL MAGAZINE with Bernie Tacoy and Ramil Tan as publishers. GAMEFOWL MAGAZINE is officially launched on May 14, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, QC during the 2012 World Slashers Cup-2. GAMEFOWL is now the most respected and is fast becoming the most populat magazine in Philippine cockfightng.
