The World Slashers Cup, for the first time ever, will be made available to mass-based cockers and gamefowl breeders who are users of Thunderbird Power Feeds and Thunderbird Power Vet products.

“We are extremely grateful to Thunderbird for bringing the World Slashers Cup closer to the masses”, stated Araneta Center COO Manny Atacador.

For each derby day, the first 500 aficionados who will bring with them 2 empty vials of Thunderbird Bexan XP and 2 empty packs of Thunderbird Platinum may watch the World Slasher Cup for free and be able to witness world-class pit action and see their favorite cockfighting heroes including the members of the Thunderbird Winning Team in person.

“This is our way of thanking the backyard breeders for trusting Thunderbird as the winning formula. They have made us the runaway leader”, Product Manager Francis Martinez stated.

Set at the Araneta Coliseum, the much-awaited international derby is slated from January 19-24. Separate 2-cock eliminations will be held on Jan. 19 & 20; 2-cock semis on Jan. 21 & 22, while the finals take center stage on the 24th.

The 2009 edition is the biggest ever with more than 200 entries set to see action which is the reason why this year’s event was spread as a five-day affair instead of the usual three-day format.

Heated pit action will start early at 10:00 a.m. Thunderbird users may claim their free tickets at the Red gate starting at 9:00 a.m.
