The New Cainta Coliseum under Andy Abundo continues to build up its clientele with attractive and interesting regular events introduced by Golden Top Arena Promotions.
Starting today and every Friday thereafter, the newly-refurbished cockpit will stage a 2-cock derby with a P200,000 cash prize with fastest win contest.
March 6 – pareho every Friday. For today, no less than 40 good matches are lined up.
Regular derbies are also calendared on Wednesdays with the Sicat 2-Cock Derby on March 18 hosted by Cainta Vice Mayor Atoy Sicat, while, a special 4-cocker takes center stage on March 25 hosted by Mayor Boyet Ynares of Binangonan.
Meanwhile, Cainta’s Royale Rumble 12-Cock Karambola being held every Satruday and Sunday continue to bring in the crowd. 12 competing roosters are released simultaneously inside the ring for a free-for-all contest. The owner of the last cock standing wins P10,000.00 and 11 bihag or captured cocks. Entry fee is P1,200.
The public may participate by picking his choice of any of the 12 pre-numbered entered roosters. A winning bet of P100 gets P800, while, a P1,000 bet wins P8,000.

RIZAL COCKERS (RGBA) MAGPUPULONG NGAYON SA RIVERBANKS CENTER
Ang mga kasapi ng lalo pang lumalaki at lumalakas ng Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association ay magsasama-sama sa Riverbend Hotel sa Riverbanks Center, Marikina City sa araw na ito, Sabado Pebrero 21, para sa kanilang taunang pangkalahatang pagpupulong kung saan ang nasaing grupo na pinamumunuan ni Joey Sy ay ipagdiriwang ang isa naman matangumpay na taon bilang pinakamabilis ang paglaki na samahan ng mga nagpapalahi ng manok-panabongs a bansa.
Ang ika-1 hangang ika-6 ng hapon na programa ay kapapalooban ng isang gamefowl management seminar “From Shell To Pit” tampok si Dr.John Paul Tolentino na magbibigay-kaalaman sa pag-aalga ng sisiw at ang iginagalang na cockfighting guru na si Dr. Teddy Tanchangco ng TJT Cocking Academy na magtuturo ng “cockerel to pit care” – handog ng Thunderbird Power Feeds – tagagawa Thunderbird Platinum at Thunderbird Baby Stag Booster.

Members of the strong Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association converge at the Riverbend Hotel in Riverbanks Center, Marikina City today, Saturday February 21, for their annual general assembly as the Joey Sy-led group celebrates another banner year being the fastest growing rooster-raisers association in the country.
The 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. program includes a gamefowl management “From Shell To Pit seminar featuring Purina’s John Paul Tolentino to talk about chicks nutrition and respected cockfighting guru Dr. Teddy Tanchangco of the TJT Cocking Academy lecture on “cockerel to pit care” –courtesy of Thunderbird Power Feeds – makers of Thunderbird Platinum and Thunderbird Baby Stag Booster.
A young member of the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders, RGBA is proud that out of their 138 members banded by NFGB for the recently concluded 2009 Bakbakan 10-Stag National Derby, 116 actually saw action, thereby ranking RGBA 6th among the 29 NFGB Affiliated associations in terms of participation. Among their top finishers were 9-pointers R&B JVA of Robert Ty, Ferdie Bagos & Jose Valdez Andres, St. Jerome R T-3 of VM Emil Condez & Ramon Talavera and JMB Farm of Dennis Buison. Also commendable is the 8.5-point record posted by RMA CP Yap of Gen. Reynaldo Acop & Ponyet Yap.
To be honored is RGBA’s 2009 Breeder of the Year Ljay Sumulong (TGRZ Stanley SSF) with Tony Cote and Col. Sonny del Rosario.
