Day 3 at Roligon

The Zamboanga gamefowl breeders who practically dominated the competition during the 80s and early 90s and have been staging a comeback since last year 2008 when their colleague Jun Pe won the Bakbakan championship, continue their comeback as they field a total of eight entries today in the third and last day of eliminations of the 2010 Stagfest 5-Stag Derby. The Zamboangueños include Bobby Fernandez, Wawit Manuel, Eddie Saavedra and and the current President of the Zamboanga Gamefowl Breeders Association Cano Daniel.

To challenge the southerners are the Palawan Group led by their Governor Baham Mitra, Greater Palawan Gamefowl Breeders Inc. Prseident Vic Setias and Jun Ortega among others.

Also competing are D’Jackal of Reymarie, Pep Goitia, Ed Uytiepo, Engr. Arnel Altez, Romano Pedroche, Engr. Jay Lobo, Engr. Sonnie Magtibay, Erwon Diamante, Engr. Sonny Lagon, Atty. De Castro, Rey Briones, Isagani Laygo, BB Attraction Gold, Nelson Santos, Benny Lado, Maruel Terobias

Hosted by Dennis Ligon and assisted by Lando Luzong (with Fred Canumay, Willy Villaruz & Nestor Paradillo), the 4-day event is exclusively sponsored by Thunderbird Power Feeds and promoted by Mega Promotions. 55 quality matches will be fought today starting at 4:00 p.m.
