Roligon’s 2M Hatawan 5-Cocker Opens Today

Free Entrance to Foreign Tourists and OFWs

Cockfights Magazine publisher Wilvin Sy and comebacking cocker Atong Ang lead some 45, out of a confirmed field of 187, entries, today as the first batch of competitors in the much-awaited P2M 2010 Hatawan sa Tag-ulan 5-Cock Derby challenge each other for the right to advance to the 3-cock finals on July 8.

Hosted by Dennis Ligon and assisted by Lando Luzong (with Fred Canumay, Willy Villaruz & Nestor Paradillo), the 5-day blockbuster event is exclusively sponsored by Thunderbird Sabongnation which will be giving out one Thunderbird shirt each to the firs 100 paying patrons.

Highlight of today’s program is the participation of the exciting Go Girls Dancers who will also be acting as Round Girls and will be presenting a special number during the break.

As part of Roligon Mega Cockpit’s contribution in the concerted effort to promote sabong as a tourist attraction, all foreigners are welcome to come in for free just by presenting their passports.

As a tribute to the OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) regarded as the Philippine’s Bagong Bayani, all OFW who arrived back into the country not more than one month before derby day are invited to watch the fights for free. They just have to present their passport and show the arrival stamp. In addition, for the benefit of the OFWs and the OPS (Overseas Pinoy Sabungero) the entire derby will be seen on live streaming courtesy of meronwala.com

The second batch of entries lock horns on July 1 for their 2-cock elimination matches; the 2^nd batch on July 3; and the 4th on July 6.

Pangungunahan ni Cockfights Magazine publisher Wilvin Sy at nagbabalik na si Atong Ang ang may 45 (mula sa kabuuang kumpirmadong 187 na kasali) na kalahok na maghaharap sa araw na ito bilang pagbubukas ng pinakahihintay na P2M 2010 Hatawan sa Tag-ulan 5-Cock Derby.

Pasabong ni Dennis Ligon sa pakikipagtulungan ni Lando Luzong (kasama sina Fred Canumay, Willy Villaruz & Nestor Paradillo), ang 5 araw na blockbuster event ay itinataguyod ng Thunderbird Sabongnation na magbibigay ng isang Thunderbird shirt sa unang 100 bisita na magbabayad ng ticket.

Tampok sa araw na ito ang partispasyon ng Go Girls Dancers na magsisilbing mga  Round Girls at maghahandog ng kakaibang sorpresa sa breaktime.

Bilang parte Roligon Mega Cockpit sa pagpapalaganp ng sabong bilang isang tourist attraction, lahat ng dayuhang turista ay makakapasok ng libre basta ipakita lamang ang kanilang mga pasaporte.

Bilang pagkilala naman sa mahalagang papael ng mga OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) na kinikilala bilang mga Bagong Bayani, ang lahat ng OFW na bumalik sa Pilipimnas sa loob ng isang buwan bago ang araw ng derby ay makakapasok din ng libre. Gayundin , ang lahat ng laban ay mapapanood via lives streaming ng www.meronwala.com upang makapood ang mga OFW at mga OPS (overseas Pinoy Sabungero)

Ang ikalawang batch ng mga kalahok ay magahaharap sa Hulyo 1 ; ang ikatlo sa Hulyo 3 at ika-apat sa Hulyo 6. Ang 3-cock finals ay gagawin sa Hulyo 8.
