2011 RGBA STAG SERIES OPENS AT THE BIG DOME ON SEPT. 14
Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association, in
cooperation with Thunderbird Enertone – the first ready-mixed maintenance
formula, goes record-breaking again as the 2011 RGBA Stag
Derby Series opens with a bang at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, September
14 when the first of the three-phase epic war begins with the 1st
Leg 7-Stag Derby (3-stag elims/4-stag finals) with a cash prize of P1.5 million.
No less than 150 matches are lined up to provide
thrill and excitement to an expected full-house crowd, with a parade of
Philippine cockfighting’s finest gamefowl breeders that include defending
Bakbakan champion Engr. Ralph Daigo & Dr. Ronnie Magbalon; reigning World
Slasher champ Rey Briones of Thunderbird Sabongnation, Ferdie Ducepec, Pros
Antonio, Ljay Sumulong and consistent winner lady cocker Osang dela Cruz among
others.
The second third and fourth elimination are set
on Sept. 16 at the Antipolo Col.; Sept. 19 at the Texas Cockpit Arena and on Sept.
21 at the Pasig Square Garden.
All entries with a score of 0, 0.5 or 1 point from the eliminations will fight
their finals on Sept. 24 at Pasig
Square Garden.
Entries with 1.5 points from all eliminations and all other with 2 points from Texas, Pasig &
Antipolo collide on Sept. 26 at the Texas Cockpit Arena. The grand finals
between entries with 2.5 or 3 points from Araneta, Texas, Pasig & Antipolo
elims; and entries with 2 pts. from Araneta elims will slug it out at the Big
Dome on Sept. 28.
