RGBA’s Bakbakan Bid Begins Today at the Antipolo Cockpit with 90 Matches

Will it be this year? Will it have to wait? Are the Rizal cockers ready? These are the questions that hang in the air as the mighty Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association begins their quest for the elusive Bakbakan championship.

But before that, Rizal’s finest will have to fight each other starting today with the 1st RGBA Bakbakan 3-stag eliminations taking the limelight at the newly-renovated and air-conditioned Antipolo Cockpit, to settle who are qualified enough to represent RGBA when the ultimate face-off takes center stage at the Araneta Coliseum on December 4 in the finals of the 2010 Bakbakan.

Antipolo Cockpit is set to welcome thousands of derby aficionados from Rizal and Metro Manila that are expected to troop to Antipolo City to witness 90 quality matches led by RGBA Breeder of the Year race frontrunners Ka Custa Amonoy, Konat Catolos & Raul Adan (UMK); Rey Tolentino (RMT Gamefarm); Jojo Gatlabayan with two entries (GAT City Red Angel and Q5 Red Angel Spyket); Nelson Tee & Boy de Jesus (LDI Bosne); Ramon Talavera & Vice Mayor Emil Condez (Deus Beatus RT3) ; Atty. Rey Directo (Direct Assault); Jon Ramos, Ruel Medina & Jon Fernandez (JRB Palos Verdes) and Ramon Cruz (AGWorld).

Also expected to shine are Stagfighter of the Year contest leaders Junnel Paras (Boy Nita); Osang dela Cruz (G.Q. MS) and the Jay Lubo/Erick Abella & Ms. Josie tandem.

The 2010 Breeder & Stagfighter of the Year will be finally decided in the 4-stag deciding round at the Big Dome on November 8.

RGBA’s second 3-stag Bakbakan qualifying round is on November 11 at Texas Cockpit, to be followed by their own Bakbakan 4-stag semis at Roligon Mega Cockpit on November 18.
